Infoport implements the management system for port operations and general and project cargo Terminal in the Port of Tacoma-Seattle.

The ports of Seattle and Tacoma joined forces in August 2015 to unify management of their marine cargo facilities and business to strengthen the gateway and attract more marine cargo and jobs for the region.

Now the alliance formed by both ports (Northwest Seaport Alliance), first in the United States of this kind, has contracted Infoport for the implementation of its Breakbulk and Waterway Management System.

In order to realize the objectives of its strategic plan to achieve operational excellence and offer a “best in class” service to their customers, the Alliance initiated an international bidding process for the selection of a Breakbulk Terminal Management System.

After overcoming a strict process of bid evaluation with a total of seven proposals presented of companies based in the United States, New Zealand, India and Europe, the proposal presented by Infoport for the implementation of Bellerophon system has been awarded.

According to the Operations Department “with Bellerophon we can highly increase the process automation of current manual processes, improving our efficiency and optimizing critical processes to manage the terminal and maritime traffic”.

The system will support also the waterway management processes and all the operations lifecycle management and capabilities like 3D visualization and integration with other systems.

NWSA is the alliance formed by the ports of Seattle and Tacoma to jointly manage their services and infrastructure in order to strengthen its strategic position as the main connection port between the US and Asia, Alaska, Oceania and rest of America. Comprises a total of 25 port terminals.
